Dallas business leader Scott Beck joins the MCBA Board of Directors as the organization scales its influence across the DFW metroplex.

The Metroplex Civic & Business Association is proud to announce the appointment of Scott Beck to its Board of Directors, where he will help guide MCBA’s mission and strengthen its impact across the DFW metroplex.

“We are thrilled to welcome Scott Beck to the MCBA board,” said Amish Gupta, Board Chair. “Scott has been a longtime MCBA member and now is the perfect time to bring his business acumen and track record of shaping the Metroplex into an official leadership role within MCBA. His vision and values will be a tremendous asset to this board, our members, and the communities we serve.”

Beck is a seasoned executive, real estate developer, and civic leader with decades of experience shaping the Dallas-Fort Worth business landscape. He serves as Chairman and CEO of UTB Financial Holdings, Inc., the parent company of United Texas Bank, and as CEO and President of Beck Ventures, Inc. A Dallas native, Beck has been at the helm of some of the most significant development projects in the region, including Trophy Club, a 3,500-acre mixed-use master-planned community; the establishment of a $432.5 million tax increment financing district, the largest TIF in Dallas history; and the Valley View site, which the Mavericks have selected as the location for their new arena. He holds a Master’s of Accounting from the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin, where he also completed his B.B.A., and serves on the boards of United Texas Bank and numerous educational and charitable organizations.

“MCBA’s focus on building a thriving business community in DFW through civic engagement aligns with the mission I’ve dedicated my career to,” said Beck. “I look forward to working alongside this group of leaders to strengthen the connections between the business community and the city we all call home.”

Beck’s appointment is part of MCBA’s broader strategy in which the Board of Directors and Leadership Council have taken on expanded roles in cultivating high-value relationships and guiding major external positioning decisions. This approach establishes a powerful partnership between the Board’s vision and external positioning and the executive leadership of newly appointed CEO Julie Strum, setting the stage for MCBA’s continued momentum and growth.

Please join the MCBA Board, staff, and membership in welcoming Scott to the MCBA Board of Directors, and in supporting the organization’s continued growth and community impact across the region.
